New York, 12 September 2025 (Nosheen Raja):The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York hosted a high-level trade delegation aimed at enhancing exports of Pakistan’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to the United States. The delegation, organized by the Global Trade and Expo Centre, Islamabad, comprised entrepreneurs from diverse sectors including food processing, footwear, information technology, surgical instruments, and beauty products.
Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, Consul General of Pakistan in New York, reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to supporting Pakistani businesses in expanding their international footprint. He emphasized that the United States remains one of Pakistan’s most significant trade partners, offering vast opportunities for growth through innovation, partnerships, and market access.
Mr. Atozai provided the delegates with an overview of the U.S. economic landscape, highlighting emerging opportunities for Pakistani products in niche and high-demand sectors. He encouraged SMEs to strategically position their brands to meet evolving consumer preferences and to leverage innovation in order to compete effectively in the U.S. market.
