18 Terrorists Killed in Separate VBIED Blast and Security Operation in Balochistan

RAWALPINDI, 12 August, 2026 (Ghufran): An under-preparation Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) detonated on the morning of August 12, 2026, while terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan were preparing it in Surab District of Balochistan.The premature detonation resulted in the confirmed deaths of eight terrorists, while several others sustained injuries. The blast, followed by the secondary detonation of explosives stored at the site by the terrorists, also reportedly caused the tragic deaths of three nearby civilians.Following the incident, security forces and Balochistan Police immediately reached the site and launched a comprehensive joint clearance operation to track down the perpetrators and their facilitators.During the operation, security forces detected the movement of fleeing terrorists and effectively engaged them, neutralizing another 10 terrorists.

With the latest action, a total of 18 terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan have been eliminated in the incidents so far. However, two brave soldiers also sustained injuries during the intense exchange of fire.Sanitization operations are continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists and ensure the security of the local population.The relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace. Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
