![Press Release [English] NADRA, NTL and PKCERT join forces to make the cyber-world more secure Islamabad (2 September 2024): National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), NADRA Technologies Limited (NTL) and the National Cyber Emergency Response Team of Pakistan (PKCERT) have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to exchange cybersecurity threat intelligence and relevant data to enhance their security posture. The MoUs were signed here today at NADRA Headquarters, Islamabad in the presence of Chairman NADRA. The areas of collaboration include the exchange of cybersecurity threat intelligence and relevant data, timely and secure sharing of information on vulnerabilities, threats, and incidents, and coordinated responses to cybersecurity incidents affecting national infrastructure upon request. As part of the partnership, NADRA, NTL and PKCERT will conduct joint investigations and analyses of cybersecurity incidents. They will share best practices and methodologies for effective cybersecurity management and collaborate on research and development projects aimed at improving cybersecurity technologies and strategies. Additionally, the organizations will conduct joint training sessions on various domains of cybersecurity and collaborate on educational initiatives to enhance citizens' understanding of cybersecurity. The MoUs were signed by Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) NADRA, Dr. Monis Akhlaq, Chief Executive Officer NTL, Dr. Javed Ashraf and Director General PKCERT, Dr. Haider Abbas. The partnership between the two organizations will strengthen efforts towards creating a safer and more secure digital environment in Pakistan. نیشنل ڈیٹابیس اینڈ رجسٹریشن اتھارٹی (نادرا)، نادرا ٹیکنالوجیز لمیٹڈ (این ٹی ایل) اور نیشنل سائبر ایمرجنسی رسپانس ٹیم آف پاکستان (پی کے سی ای آر ٹی) نے اپنے سائبرسکیورٹی اقدامات کو مضبوط تر بنانے کے لئے ممکنہ خطرات کے بارے میں معلومات اور متعلقہ ڈیٹا کے باہمی تبادلے کے معاہدے کئے ہیں۔ معاہدے پر دستخط کی تقریب نادرا ہیڈکوارٹرز اسلام آباد میں منعقد ہوئی جس میں چیئرمین نادرا نے بھی شرکت کی۔
معاہدے کے تحت نادرا، این ٹی ایل اور نیشنل سائبرایمرجنسی رسپانس ٹیم سائبرسکیورٹی کے خطرات اور واقعات سے متعلق حساس معلومات ایک دوسرے کو فراہم کریں گے اور ضرورت پڑنے پر پاکستان کے ڈیجیٹل اثاثوں کو متاثر کرنے والے واقعات پر مل کر جوابی اقدامات کریں گے۔ اشتراک کے تحت سائبرسکیورٹی واقعات کی مشترکہ تحقیقات کی جائیں گی اور سائبرسکیورٹی ٹیکنالوجی اور حکمت عملیوں کو بہتر بنانے کے لئے تحقیق و ترقی کے منصوبوں پر کام کیا جائے گا۔ معاہدے کے تحت سائبرسکیورٹی کے مختلف شعبوں پر تربیتی سیشن منعقد کئے جائیں گے اور شہریوں کی آگاہی میں اضافہ کے لئے خصوصی سرگرمیوں کا انعقاد کیا جائے گا۔
معاہدے پر نادرا کے چیف انفارمیشن سکیورٹی آفیسر ڈاکٹر مونس اخلاق، این ٹی ایل کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر ڈاکٹر جاوید اشرف اور ڈائریکٹر جنرل نیشنل سائبرایمرجنسی رسپانس ٹیم ڈاکٹر حیدر عباس نے دستخط کئے۔ تینوں اداروں کے درمیان اشتراک سے پاکستان میں ڈیجیٹل ماحول کو محفوظ تر بنانے کی کوششوں کو استحکام ملے گا۔
