The Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached to the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad to offer condolences on the death of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin. On arrival at the embassy, in a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong, the Prime Minister expressed his condolences, deep sorrow and expressed regret.The Prime Minister said that the former Chinese President will always be remembered as a great leader. He said that the former president has a key role in strengthening China-Pakistan relations. Jiang Zemin's role in China's development is important. Pakistan's flood crisis is particularly tough on poor women. Estimates show that 650,000 women currently located in flood-affected areas in Pakistan are in need of access to maternal health services, and that as many as 73,000 had to deliver babies during September 2022. Malnourished pregnant women are also at risk of giving birth to low birthweight babies who will be malnourished. Women already have insufficient food and water to consume but in this case they do not eat and drink whole day just to avoid to go for defecating. This is also creating malnutrition in women. The situation of pregnant women is worse. There are no arrangements in most of the camps. Charter Signing Ceremony of the Humanitarian Trust Fund for Afghanistan

The Charter of the Humanitarian Trust Fund for Afghanistan was signed today by the Secretary General, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), HE Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, and President, Islamic Development Bank, HE Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al-Jasser, in the presence of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Pakistani sailors dominated the medal table as curtains were drawn on the 3rd Chief of the Air Staff International Open Sailing Championship-2022 being held at PAF Yacht Club, Karachi. PN and PMSA joint efforts to clear fishing trawlers from Territorial waters

Pakistan Maritime Security Agency with support of Pakistan Navy and in coordination with respective fishery departments of Balochistan and Sindh provinces has carried out sustained operations against illegal trawling/fishing activities. Since the start of these operations, 231 fishing trawlers have been cleared from TTWs till to date utilising air assets, ships and fast boats. In this regard efforts are also in hand to educate fishermen community through awareness calls and constant liaison with fishery departments. Such operations by PMSA is a testimony that we are always committed to prevent any kind of unlawful act and illegal activity at sea.
