Opening ceremony of Pakistan - Turkiye Joint Exercise "ATTATURK-XII 2023" was held today at Tarbella.Opening ceremony of Pakistan - Turkiye Joint Exercise "ATTATURK-XII 2023" was held today at Tarbella. National anthems of both the countries were played at the start of the ceremony. Troops from Turkish special force and Pakistan Special Services Group ( SSG) are participating in exercise.Two weeks long exercise aims at enhancing counter terrorism techniques . The exercise will focus on compound clearance, cave clearance, sniper training, counter Improvised Explosive Devices(IED) training and combat medical care . U.S. Embassy funded Improving Rule of Law in Balochistan program successfully executed by UNODCU.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome today joined United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (UNODC) Representative Jeremy Milsom and Balochistan Police Inspector General Abdul Khalique Sheikh to celebrate the successful completion of a $4,578,696 Improving Rule of Law Program in Balochistan, funded by the U.S. Embassy and executed by UNODC. The five-year program commenced in February 2017 and concluded in December 2022. A closing ceremony was held in Islamabad to celebrate the journey and achievements of this important intervention.
