Strike continues for fifth day in Gwadar, phone services shut down

Citizens are worried about the end of stocks of food items in their homes.
In Gwadar and Pasni of Balochistan, there is a shutter down on Friday also, while the citizens suffered due to the lack of food and drink in their homes. The protest and dharna of Haq Du Tehreek is continuing in front of the Pasni Press Club and administration offices, while the mobile network and internet services in Gwadar Pasni and Ormara are down for the fifth day today. After traffic was restored on the Makran Coastal Highway on Thursday, ground communication between Makran and Karachi has been restored after four days, while last day also in Turbat, police raids were conducted in different areas of the city, during which Haq Du in Turbat. The leading leader Safar Rakhshani was arrested.
On the other hand, Provincial Interior Minister Zia Longo has said that Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman had held Gwadar and surrounding areas hostage through a sit-in, Haq Du Tehreek has tried to damage government property. He said that when mischief is done by the agitators, the law will also come into action. Gwadar is the future of Pakistan. He further said that the security of the Chinese is very important because of the Gwadar sit-in, investors from the world will not come. Finally, it has been decided to end the Gwadar sit-in so that other issues including the security of the Chinese can be resolved.
