Pakistan has decided to increase surveillance at airports in view of the fear of the spread of a new type of Corona virus. Border Health Services has issued a letter to the CAA on the emergence of new types of Corona in different countries. Border Health Services has decided to tighten the screening process at all airports to prevent the spread of Corona. Authorities have been directed to ensure that people arriving from other countries pass through thermal scanners at airports across Pakistan amid fears of an outbreak of new variants of the Covid-19.

Border Health Services has directed the CAA to take special care of fumigation in the International Arrival Lounge. In the Notification, it has been directed that the health workers should use protective equipment including masks, gloves. Random sampling should be done on inbound flights. According to the Notification, there is sometimes resistance from the passengers, leading to the deployment of the ASF. On the other hand, America has made the Covid test mandatory for passengers coming from China. Earlier, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and India have also imposed restrictions on travelers from China.
