LAHORE, 9 October 2026 (Nosheen): Pakistan women’s cricket team spinner Sadia Iqbal has undergone surgery on her left knee at a local hospital in Lahore and is expected to require around three months of rehabilitation before returning to full cricketing activity. According to sources, Iqbal had been experiencing knee pain for some time, prompting doctors to perform the surgical procedure. She will now begin a rehabilitation programme under medical supervision, with her recovery and progress monitored throughout the process. Sources said her return to full fitness could take approximately three months, depending on her recovery and medical advice. Iqbal’s absence is likely to be a setback for Pakistan’s women’s team as the spinner focuses on regaining fitness and returning to international cricket.
