United Nations, 6 October, 2026 (Ghufran): Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, paid a farewell call on President of the United Nations General Assembly (PGA) Dr. Khalilur Rahman on Monday. During the meeting, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad assured the UN General Assembly president of Pakistan’s full support and continued constructive engagement with the work of the organization during the 81st session of the General Assembly. The two sides also discussed issues related to various ongoing and forthcoming multilateral processes under the auspices of the General Assembly. Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad is due to leave for Pakistan soon to assume charge as Foreign Secretary.
