ISLAMABAD, 1 November, 2026 (Ghufran): Two young men, including the nephew of popular Indian singer Yo Yo Honey Singh, lost their lives in a road accident in Jalandhar, Punjab. The incident occurred on a flyover near Police Lines when a car returning from a birthday celebration crashed into a stationary tractor-trolley parked on the road. The deceased were identified as Vidat Olakh and Aarav Talwar. Indian media reports said Olakh was Honey Singh’s nephew and the son of Dinesh, who owns Punjabi music label Speed Records, while Talwar was the son of a prominent sweet shop owner. Police said they received information about the crash at around 3am. Municipal sanitation workers were cleaning the flyover and had parked the tractor-trolley there to collect garbage. The car was travelling from BMC Chowk towards BSF Chowk when it struck the parked vehicle. Five people were reportedly travelling in the car, but Olakh and Talwar died at the scene, while the other three occupants had returned home earlier. Police said the families declined to initiate legal proceedings, following which the bodies were handed over to them. Honey Singh later expressed his grief through an Instagram story, describing the death of his nephew as a devastating personal loss.
