DUBAI, 08 September, 2026 (Nosheen): Indian singer Nisar Wayanad, whose voice closely resembled that of award-winning Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan, has died at a Dubai hospital just hours before he was scheduled to perform at a musical event in Ajman. The 44-year-old singer, whose official name was Nissar Aroth Ibrahim, hailed from Kampalakkad in Kerala’s Wayanad district and had travelled to the United Arab Emirates in August for a series of musical programmes.  LAHORE, 8 September 2026 (Kamran Raja): The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought a response within seven days on singer Meesha Shafi’s miscellaneous application challenging a trial court order directing her to pay Rs5 million in damages in a defamation case involving singer Ali Zafar. A two-member bench headed by Justice Ahmad Nadeem Arshad heard Shafi’s appeal against the lower court’s decision. The 51-year-old actor was reportedly found motionless in a chair by his friend Özlem E. on September 5 at an apartment in Istanbul’s Kağıthane district.
