Seoul, 18 October 2026 (Ghufran): South Korean music sensation BTS has become the first group in history to surpass 10 billion annual streams on Spotify, according to its record label Big Hit Music. The milestone was largely driven by the group’s fifth full-length album, Arirang, which has generated five billion streams since its release in March, making it the most-streamed album released this year. On the day of its release, all 14 tracks from the album, including the instrumental piece “No. 29,” secured the top 14 positions on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart. Meanwhile, the seven-member group is currently in Santiago, Chile, performing three concerts as part of its Arirang world tour, with the shows scheduled to continue through Saturday. BTS will conclude the month with three performances each in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and São Paulo, Brazil, before returning to Asia. The final concerts in both cities will also be screened live in cinemas worldwide, with the Buenos Aires performance scheduled for October 24 and the São Paulo show set for October 30. The achievement further highlights BTS’s global popularity and the continued international success of its latest musical release.
