Arrival of Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in Muzaffarabad
High-level meeting on counter-terrorism and security of foreign nationals in Azad Kashmir chaired by Home Minister. The meeting was attended by Federal Secretary Home Yousaf Naseem Khokhar, NC NACT Roy Tahir, Special Secretary Home Azad Kashmir Sardar Khalid Mehmood, Commissioner Muzaffarabad Masoodur Rahman and representatives of security agencies. In the meeting, Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir Muhammad Usman Chachar and Inspector General Police Dr. Ameer Ahmad Sheikh gave detailed information about the security situation in Azad Kashmir, details of foreign nationals working in various projects, Special Protection Unit and Anti-Terrorism Organization in Azad Kashmir.
Interior Minister said there will be no compromise on security and law and order situation. All projects in which foreign nationals are working, ensure fool-proof security arrangements within 30 days. The law of allocating one percent for security in the ongoing projects should be implemented. The institutions of SPU and CTD should be established in Azad Kashmir so that the Azad Kashmir Police can be prepared immediately for the elimination of terrorism, Interior Minister said. On this occasion, it was decided that necessary funds will be provided to Azad Kashmir for establishment of Special Protection Unit and Anti-Terrorism Organization. Interior Minister will provide all possible assistance to make the institutions of Azad Kashmir more active. Local people should be given priority in the recruitment of security agencies, Interior Minister.
