Harry and Meghan Condemn Paparazzi Incident Near Children’s School

London, 1 October, 2026 (Ghufran): Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have condemned what they described as “extraordinarily reckless” behaviour by international photographers after two men were reportedly seen near their children’s school. Private security personnel and school staff reportedly spotted the men carrying backpacks and walking around the school perimeter, where they allegedly stopped to look into the grounds. The men were later identified as international photographers. A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex described the incident as an “unacceptable intrusion” into the privacy of children and criticised what was described as an extraordinary lack of judgment. The spokesperson said the incident was particularly concerning given the circumstances and came shortly after an incident at RAF Fairford. Police have been approached for comment. British media organisations have avoided identifying the location of the school or the Sussexes’ residence following a request from the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO). The incident comes amid longstanding concerns raised by Prince Harry over the security of his family. Earlier this month, Harry and Meghan reportedly moved their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, from their previous school shortly after the start of the academic term, citing security considerations. Harry has also continued to challenge the reduction of his taxpayer-funded security following the couple’s decision to step back from royal duties in 2020. The latest incident comes as Harry and Meghan are reportedly awaiting an official security risk assessment following their return to the UK from Montecito, California. According to British media reports, the couple has been asked to provide authorities with information about their daily routines, including school runs, frequently visited addresses and regular travel routes. The information will be assessed by the relevant UK Home Office authorities to determine whether there has been any change in the level of threat facing the family.
