Provincial Ministers, Nasir Shah, Sharjeel Memon, Murtaza Wahab, Corps Commander Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar, Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput, DG Rangers Major General Azhar Waqas, IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, Home Secretary Saeed Manganijo, Principal Secretary Jatoi, were present in the meeting.  Additional IG Karachi, Additional IG Special Branch, Prosecutor General Sindh, provincial heads of intelligence agencies and other relevant officers participated. CM said we have to improve our security system once again; we will not tolerate terrorism on this earth under any circumstances. We have to further improve our security arrangements, intelligence system and targeted operations. We will now hold the Apex Committee meeting every 15 days. Abuse against children, minorities and women will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Drug trade is unbearable; Gutka, Mawa and other intoxicants are ruining our generation. Decision to speed up operations against all narcotics. It was decided to further improve the security of oil terminals in the last Apex Committee meeting. Meetings have been held on the security of the oil terminal, a unified command structure has been created, the chief secretary of Sindh informed in the meeting. Drug rehabilitation centers

CM said 4 buildings have been identified for the rehabilitation of drug addicts. These buildings are in Kemari, District Central, Malir and District West. Chief Secretary Sindh has released 8 million rupees to repair and run these rehabilitation centers. Chief Minister Sindh directed to conduct operations against drug smuggling and dealers. These addicts are also involved in street crime, Chief Minister Sindh. Their rehabilitation will not only reduce street crime but will help in making them useful citizens.  The anti-narcotics force should be kept together in the operation against smuggling. ANF should not be kept with rehabilitation centers for drug addicts, Sindh Chief Minister said. Agreements have been made with ANF to run KMC Leprosy Hospital Manghopir and Sports Center Malir.

Foreigner’s Desk

Chief Minister Sindh was informed that according to his decision China Desk has been established at Jinnah Terminal. In the year 2022, all the Chinese and others who have come from outside have been registered. NADRA is developing an application that will be able to monitor the arrival and departure of foreigners etc. When visas are issued to foreigners, their monitoring should start on that day. It should be ascertained when he came, where he is working and when he will go back. This is necessary for the security of foreigners. The meeting was informed that the institutions are keeping an eye on the stolen motorcycle market. Action is taken against the places where stolen bikes are found. There is a market for stolen bikes in Balochistan apart from Sindh. Balochistan government is also on board and taking action. CM Sindh’s decision to establish 5 more units for prevention of theft of 4/2 wheelers of AVLC and documents. Decision to establish EVLC units at Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Shaheed Benazirabad. CM said the report regarding monitoring should be submitted to me. Chief Minister Sindh inquired about the progress of the decision on e-tagging of habitual criminals. The bill for supervision of habitual criminals has been sent to the Sindh Assembly, Murtaza Wahab informed the Chief Minister of Sindh. This bill will go to Standing Committee, Legal Adviser Murtaza Wahab. This bill should be passed soon, instructions to Sindh Chief Minister’s Adviser on Law.
